November 3, 2026 general election
How to vote in Merced County and what's on the local ballot.
How to vote
Every registered voter in Merced County was mailed a ballot starting Oct. 5. You have three ways to return it or vote in person.
- By mail. Your ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 3. The county recommended mailing it by Oct. 28 because of changes to Postal Service postmarks, so a drop box or vote center is the safer choice now.
- At a ballot drop box. Locations are on the county’s official list.
- In person. Go to the Merced County Elections Office at 2222 M St., Merced, or any of the county’s 15 vote centers. Vote center days and hours differ, so check the official list before you go.
See vote center and drop box locations on the county’s election page.
If you aren’t registered
You can register and vote conditionally at any vote center or at the Elections Office through Nov. 3.
